02Visual Language
Building a visual language.
Singapore offered an endless source of familiar forms — architecture, food, nature and everyday culture. The challenge was not simply to illustrate them, but to make every piece feel as though it belonged to the same world.
Different subjects. One visual DNA.
Place / 01
Recognisable,
not literal.
Familiar landmarks were reduced to their essential forms — preserving the details that make them unmistakable while giving each one the same playful character.
Culture / 02
Familiar things,
given personality.
Food, objects and local references became characters in their own right, extending the visual language beyond the skyline and into everyday Singapore.
Different subjects.
One visual language.
Characters, places and everyday icons could be mixed, adapted and recombined without losing their shared identity.
A system designed to keep growing.
03Application
From illustration to object.
The visual language was created to move beyond the page — adapting across materials, formats and product categories while retaining its recognisable character.
One language. Many surfaces. From textiles and packaging to constructed objects, the system could shift in scale and expression without losing its identity.
From large surfaces
to small details.
500+

One visual language, built to keep evolving.
